Im now taking bookings for communion photos. I have a few packages which are popular with communions and christenings.

The first is just for the church service, covering the service if permitted and some images at the alter/outside etc afterwards. This package is £65 which includes 2 10x8" prints

The second package covers the above and an hour at your function afterwards if you are having one. along with 5 10x8" prints. This is £120

The third gives you 2 hours at your function and included an hour of time in my mobile studio (white or black background) this is £175 and again gets you 5 10x8" prints plus 5 6x4" prints. Hope that helps

Having recently re-organised the shop with the kind help of my mum and dad, I now have a full photography studio set up at the front of the shop and will be offering full professional studio photoshoots at a very competitive price. I will also be opening up after hours on certain days and taking appointments for mini studio shoots from £30. Keep your eyes posted for some offers and news on my halloween photo booth night.

The concept is simple – gather a group of guests and their families together in a home or at a location for a party and we’ll bring our studio to you! Parties can be general family and children sessions or themed sessions such as glamour, babies, seniors, couples, fancy dress etc… Each guest and their family will get a 10-20 minute photo session during the party. While guests are not required to remain at the party for the full length of time, it is a party so hanging around is encouraged to make the time more enjoyable for all guests. Guests, however, are asked to arrive and be prepared for their session at least 5 minutes before their scheduled time slot. The Host will have the choice of making this a CD party or a Prints Party. For a CD party each guest will be required to pay £25 for a cd with up to 25 pictures on it. The CD's come with a limited release allowing the client to print the pictures where ever they want. If the Host chooses a Print Party then there will be a £15 fee per person or £25 per family and their pictures will be posted online for them to choose which prints and packages they want to purchase. A minimum of 6 guests including the host is required and up to a maximum of 12 guests. (more guests can be arranged depending on the time frame which might mean a reduced studio time per person.)

Online Viewing for Print Parties

Each guest will then be able to view proofs in an online viewing within two weeks of the portrait party. Guests can view these images in the privacy of their own home and order their favorite prints at our regular print pricing. Print order pricing will be provided during the party so that all guests have the information that they need.

What does it take to host a party?

Hosting a portrait party is a great way to bring professional photography into a comfortable environment with friends. Hosting a party is simple; Hosts are asked to provide a pre-prepared (furniture removed, etc…) open room large enough to be transformed into a photo studio (minimum space of approximately 13x16 is ideal) preferably out of the way of the rest of the party. Hosts may also choose to have their party at a location, for example if you have booked a hall. Outdoor settings are also possible within season, weather permitting. Hosts are also asked to invite 6 to 12 guests and their families and provide a party atmosphere including snack foods, etc… We ask that hosts please provide snack foods that will not get kids dirty easily. In addition, hosts are asked to confirm invitations, complete session time scheduling, and return information forms for all confirmed guests to the photographer at least one week before the date of the portrait party.

What are the benefits of hosting?

Just like other in-home gatherings of this sort, the responsibilities of being a host are easily offset by the special benefits that accompany hosting. As with the other guests, the host will receive a 15-20 minute photography session. This will be provided to the host free of charge. The host will also receive a complimentary set of prints. If the Host chooses a CD party then they will receive a free CD of their pictures.

Attending a Portrait Party

Why attend a Portrait party?

Because it's FUN, that's why! You won't be pressured to purchase a bigger package or get a bunch of prints that you don't need or want. All you do is give us your e-mail address and we send you a link to your images. You can view them in your home, place your order, and sit back and wait for your prints or cd. How easy is that?

What's the catch to attending?

If you're looking for the fine print, there simply isn't any... Just show up and be ready for your mini-session at least five minutes before it's scheduled start time. Bring any props that you want in your images - blankets, toys, hats, jerseys, etc... - that are special to you or your family. Most importantly, relax, and enjoy yourself!

Well it has got to that time of the year, and its time to jet off to somewhere nice and sunny for 2 weeks! I will be responding to any messages when I get back on the 1st of September.

I popped up to the local Lady Octavia sports centre to take a few snaps of little Kodys first birthday party for my good friends Paul and Jenny. Lots of kids running about going there dinger! heres a few of the wee man, who looked as if he loved his wee day!

Over the coming week, There will be many changes happening on the website. I will be including a full page dedicated to the my Bespoke framing service. I am the owner of a well established and well regarded picture framers based in Greenock. Providing exceptional quality bespoke framing from photos, certificates, to football tops, cricket bats and all sorts of 3D items.

We have over 150 Mount colours to choose from, and provide various mounting options from single, double, triple mounts, To fillet mounting, ovals, and multi window mounting. All cut by hand to an extreme level of precision.

We also have a selection of around 200 wood samples to choose from in store with thousands available to order. All of which are exceptional quality wood purchased in length and cut and joined to size in store, so none of the cheap plastic ready made framing that other photographers use.

Providing a bespoke framing service, in which there is very little we cannot frame.

Last week I traveled down the coast to the lovely town of Troon to cover the wedding of Peter and Gillian at the Lovely Barcelo Marine Hotel, formally know as the Royal Marine Hotel. Overlooking the 18 Hole of the Royal Troon Golf course it was the perfect setting for such a lovely low key wedding.

A few showers before the services looked to spoil our hopes of getting the bride and groom outside and onto Troon's stunning beach for some formals. After a quick drink following the service the sun broke through the clouds and i grabbed the chance of getting them both down onto the sand. After which we had a lovely evening in a very chilled out manner.

I would like to thank both Gillian and Peter for such a fantastic day, you really did make me more than welcome, I hope you both love the pictures we got together. All the best for the future!
